I am going to be a little gross in answering the hurt question. Lots of ways to be hurt and scared by a man. I am a rape survivor and it was very traumatic. I was attacked by a complete stranger in my home when I was 26. He broke into my apartment on the first floor (patio door) when I was asleep in the bedroom. I woke up to him standing over me with a gun in his hand. He told me to be quiet and do what he told me or he would kill me. He made me undress and lay on the bed face down. He undressed as he held that gun in my back. He stuck his hand between my legs and stuck a finger in my ass without any lubricant. When I screamed in pain he hit me repeatedly in the back of my head. I was dazed, hurt, scared and wondered if he was going to kill me. He turned me over and slapped me hard a few times. I was seeing stars and bleeding from my nose and mouth. He then entered me and repeatedly told me he would kill me if I made a sound while he pounded away on me until he finished. He bit my neck as he moaned then got off me and made me turn over. He put that gun up against the side of my head and again stuck his finger in my ass. I didn’t make a sound while he repeatedly rammed it up my ass. After what seemed like forever. He stuck his penis in my ass and he pounded away until he finished a second time. I was in terrible pain and bleeding by then. He just laughed at me then hit me with his fist so hard I saw a flash of light then I was out cold. I woke up later he was gone—so was my purse. The cops came after I called —took me to the hospital and did a rape exam. I spend three days in the hospital. They never found him or made an arrest. I have been to lots of councilors and groups. I don’t have nightmares anymore but not sure I am ever going to get over it.
