Questionable Intent

I was a single working girl when I arrived at an acquaintance’s party last December. I was just stopping in for a drink on my way to dinner with my parents. I walked in the door and was immediately greeted by my friend and the sexiest man I had ever laid eyes on. I am talking about movie star good looking and a body to match. I had one drink and talked to a few people before heading to dinner. The next day my friend called and asked If I was ok with her giving this guy my cell number. I said sure do it right this minute.
He called me the next morning and we started going out. We really hit it off and by the fourth date I took him home and let him spend the night. I found myself falling in love in a big way. By March the world had turned upside down with Covid19 and I was furloughed and he was working from home. He got real stressed about his job and we stopped seeing as much of each other. By May he was not around much at all. Now in July he is gone from the face of the earth. He still has his townhouse but is never home. He still has his cell but never calls or return my calls.
I am moving on but I honestly don’t know what I did wrong. We never had a fight or even cross words. Can anyone help me understand what happened???
