Sad but True

I am 50 Years Old. I look 60 and feel 70. Not what you are looking for no doubt and my confession isn’t glamorous. I never knew my Father. My Mom was married three times by the time I was ten. She had a string of boyfriends that came and went until I left home after graduating from high school. Never had problems with any of them but never felt real safe either. I got pregnant at 18 and got married before my son was born. Got divorced at 20. Like mother like daughter.
I worked in restaurants and retail to make a living for us. Never remarried and never had a live in boyfriend. Wanted him to grow up without all the drama I had. Life isn’t easy when you have little education and few skills. I worked hard kept a roof over our heads and food on the table. We never had many vacations or any extra money for fun stuff. We got by and he grew up to be a good man. He is in the navy now and is married with a nice wife and two kids. My Mission is accomplished. So now I can confess that I have not had sex since I was in my late 20’s. I have gained 50 pounds and I look terrible. I have breast cancer and things are not looking so great for me right now. I don’t think I am going to find Mr Perfect and I doubt my dreams will ever come true. I hope you will give someone you see a little respect if they look like crap and are not very attractive. They may have given everything to someone and what you see is all that is left.
