Long ago and far away

When I was in my early thirties I had three children a husband that travels lot and a part time job at a department store. One night after we closed at 9 PM I went out with three coworkers to have a drink. As you might imagine one drink ended up being several and we got bombed. I had the bright idea to go to a club that had a reputation for being a singles pick up bar.
It took about fifteen minutes to attract some guys and all four of us had guys asking us to dance and buying us drinks. It was fun to be desired and the center of focus for a change. Yup you can guess what happened next. Went to his hotel room where it took all of two minutes to get naked and in bed. In a half an hour he was done and falling asleep. I got dressed drove home (3AM) and tossed my clothes that smelled like cigarettes into the laundry. Climbed into bed with my sleeping husband and crashed until the alarm went off at 6:30. Hung over and bleary eyed I made coffee and his breakfast and kissed him goodbye when he went to work. Went back to bed for awhile then got the kids ready for preschool and school and drove them to school. Went back home washed my clothes and took a shower and cried a little. I was lucky. Never got knocked up never had a STD. My husband never asked where I went after work or when I got home. The sex with that guy was really unremarkable and I never saw him again. I never went back to that bar and quit my part time job after a few more months. We moved to another city about a year later. It is my confession and I trust it was y’all that entertaining.
