When I was 14 my Mom had a live in boyfriend for about three months. They broke up and she meet my step Dad and have been together for seven years. My Mom’s live in BF was always kind of funny and a little wild. I won’t say he was crazy but he was more of a kid than an adult.

I assume you are asking me my age and not Donna as she defined her age. I was raped by a family member from the age of 11 until I was 13 when he was arrested and later incarcerated for committing the same offense on a girlfriend. I am now 43 years old and proof that you can survive with lots of help from others.

I was also 14. Difference was that he was drunk and I was not. It was my 34 yr old cousin. The day after, he apologized and cried. He has continued to apologize for the last 11 years every time we see each other. For me it was special. I always had a crush on him and I really sort of instigated the situation. He has never forgiven himself and I feel bad for him. Sure, he should have conducted himself properly, but in the end I never felt victimized, nor do I now. It is a fond memory I have of the occasion and I will always love him in a certain way.
